Our story

Started by two Noderunners

Bitcoin Friesland was founded by two Noderunners. Noderunners is a Dutch Bitcoin community, known among other things for the Noderunners Conference.

What does Bitcoin Friesland do?

We bring people together at Bitcoin meetups and events, share practical knowledge and help visitors find places that accept Bitcoin.

Can I join for free?

Yes. Participation in the community and our Telegram and Signal groups is free. Becoming a supporter is optional. Check each event’s information for any ticket costs.

How do I get started?

Read our beginner information or join the Telegram group. Business owners can learn about accepting Bitcoin payments.

How does the community stay independent?

Voluntary contributions help pay for the website, stickers, materials and activities. Contributions give no influence over our content, positions, speakers or activities. Read the terms for supporters and business contributions.

Checking information and reporting mistakes

Community contributors maintain this website. Times, venues, ticket prices and businesses' payment options can change. Before travelling, check with the organizer or business using the links on our events page and Bitcoin map. A listing is not an endorsement. Found a mistake? Email the page link and corrected information to [email protected], preferably with a source we can check.
